Society holds Black History Month debate

By Molly Garlick

To coincide with Black History Month Essex university’s Black Social and Political Society is holding a panel event to discuss issues of racism in the current climate. The event will be 6pm-8pm in the Lecture Theatre Building 7.

The society believes that the black community is at a pivotal point in fighting racism and will be discussing what exactly is the correct or most effective way to protest or battle racism. I spoke to the president of the society, Kwasi Tandoh, about the event.
