Children’s Mental Health Week

To mark the beginning of Children’s Mental Health week the Duchess of Cambridge has teamed up with other celebrities to raise awareness.

She said: “This is a hugely challenging time for us all, so please look after yourself.”. The Duchess of Cambridge is talking not only about children’s mental health but parental and young adult’s mental health too.

This year’s theme is Express Yourself. The aim is to encourage everyone to share their feelings and thoughts through creating art, music, poetry and stories.

The organisation Place2Be first started Children’s Mental Health Week in 2015. This year it has provided online resources to help get schools, families and communities involved in the celebrations.

The Duchess said: “It’s about finding those things that make you feel good about yourself.” The week will involve celebrities like Oti Mabuse, from Strictly Come Dancing, and Bukky Bakray, an actress, sharing how they express themselves.
