During the Easter break, there were no new coronavirus cases on any of the Univeristy’s campuses.
Because most of the students have been home for holidays or for break, the campuses have been more empty than usual.
But this aspect didn`t stop the nurses to make the tests for those who decided to stay on campus during the break or for the staff who had to work every day.
On the University of Essex website, the page about the number of cases is updated every week to ensure the community’s safe.
For the Colchester campus, it was administrated 12,326 Rapid Antigen swab test, for Southend 1,515 tests, and Loughton 1,598.
Also, the Rapid Covid-19 IgM/IgG Antibody test was given to all three campuses.
6,603 tests for Colchester campus, for Southend 992 tests, and Loughton 968 tests.
